Satori in Japanese haiku poetry is an essential element. Necessary because it describes, or perhaps more emphasizes, glare – uniqueness.
When building my tools and parameters for analyzing the space of a place, I use the air haiku filter I created to analyze meanings of the space. There are concepts taken from the structure of a typical 17-syllable japanese poem, but used by me as parameters to analyze a specific place or situation.
I found the yellow rag covering the blankets a few years ago in a closed hospital, which was turned into unnecessary things – garbage.
Other people (hospital workers) had access to the space where the yellow rag was located, and from time to time they took blankets out from under the yellow drapery, thus changing its arrangement. My only role was to record those changes.
For two years I have been visiting this place and in the simplest, completely non-invasive way, I recorded the \u201clife\u201d of the yellow rag – photographing it, creating drawings, recording its peculiar form with the camera, being in its presence.
The whole process of writing-documentation has become very important to me.
I used to come to a place where I learned silence and emptiness.
In a strange way, this place has overwritten for me just as the space of \u201csacred codes\u201d. Truncating unnecessary information – I compressed my Satori space thus giving a reason to create a myth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pojawiaj\u0105 si\u0119 tam poj\u0119cia zaczerpni\u0119te z budowy typowego 17-sto sylabowego wiersza sabi – pi\u0119kno samotno\u015bci, wabi – pi\u0119kno niedoko\u0144czenia, makoto – prawda rzeczy, yugen – ukryte pi\u0119kno ducha, mushin – spok\u00f3j ducha i woli jak i kigo – wyra\u017cenie okre\u015blaj\u0105ce por\u0119 roku. Sk\u0142adowe te u\u017cywane s\u0105 przeze mnie ju\u017c jako parametry do analizy specyficznego miejsca czy sytuacji. K\u0142ad\u0119 s\u0142owa na rzeczy by dobiera\u0107 precyzyjnie narz\u0119dzia do interpretacji.

Spotkanie tej \u017c\u00f3\u0142tej draperii by\u0142o dla mnie na tyle silne, \u017ce postanowi\u0142em odwiedza\u0107 j\u0105 co jaki\u015b czas co przerodzi\u0142o si\u0119 w projekt, kt\u00f3ry trwa\u0142 trzy lata.
Do przestrzeni w kt\u00f3rej si\u0119 znajdowa\u0142a mieli dost\u0119p tez inni ludzie, kt\u00f3rzy co pewien czas wyci\u0105gali koce spod \u017c\u00f3\u0142tej draperii zmieniaj\u0105c tym samym jej u\u0142o\u017cenie. Moja rola sprowadza\u0142a si\u0119 tylko do zapisywania tych zmian.
W ci\u0105gu kilku lat odwiedza\u0142em to miejsce i w najprostszy, zupe\u0142nie nieinwazyjny spos\u00f3b, rejestrowa\u0142em \u201e\u017cycie\u201d \u017c\u00f3\u0142tej szmaty \u2013 fotografuj\u0105c j\u0105, tworz\u0105c rysunki, przebywaj\u0105c w jej obecno\u015bci.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
