\u201c(\u2026) In the Konterfekt project, the artist poses questions about spirituality. In the first part of the series, he listened to the accounts of people who had miraculously healed as a result of prayer and documented them.
He collected medical certificates, test results and made casts of body fragments or replicas of tissues that had been reborn. During the presentation of the project in a closed church, the author placed a confessional at the disposal of the survivors. He invited his interlocutors to \u201cconfess\u201d healings, just as sins are confessed.
As he himself says, he turned the small architecture of shame into a place for a time to meet and talk about miracles in human life, traces of God\u2019s interference.
Such a path could have been traced by work on symbols. But you can also see elements of heresy in this decision, an attempt to impose or create a new symbolism by the artist. This kind of \u201cheresy in sacred and social space\u201d was noticed in the work of Tom Swoboda by Zbigniew Liber, the curator of the exhibition \u201cThe Artist in the Times of Hopelessness\u201d. The aim of the second part of the Conterfect series, entitled Draw me God, was to find answers to the questions why the concept of spirituality is interpreted in various ways and what is common to the spirituality of representatives of different faiths. That is why, to talk and execute the order contained in the title were asked, in a sense, atypical believers who perceive the issues of faith from an unusual perspective: Magdalena Broda, a Protestant pastor, Kazimierz Barczuk, a rabbi who converted himself from Christianity to Judaism, Father Boniecki, a Catholic priest, but also a philosopher and a committed journalist and Natalia Niemen (daughter of well know Polish singer and composer Czes\u0142aw Niemen) a singer associated with the Protestant community.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

W pierwszej cz\u0119\u015bci cyklu s\u0142ucha\u0142 relacji os\u00f3b, kt\u00f3re na skutek modlitwy dozna\u0142y cudownego uzdrowienia, i je dokumentowa\u0142. Gromadzi\u0142 lekarskie orzeczenia, wyniki bada\u0144 i wykonywa\u0142 odlewy fragment\u00f3w cia\u0142a albo replik tkanek, kt\u00f3re si\u0119 odrodzi\u0142y.
Podczas prezentacji projektu w nieczynnym ko\u015bciele autor do dyspozycji ocalonych odda\u0142 konfesjona\u0142. Swoich rozm\u00f3wc\u00f3w zaprosi\u0142 do \u201ewyznania\u201d uzdrowie\u0144, tak jak si\u0119 wyznaje grzechy. Jak sam o tym m\u00f3wi, ma\u0142\u0105 architektur\u0119 wstydu zamieni\u0142 na pewien czas w miejsce spotkania i rozmowy o cudach w \u017cyciu cz\u0142owieka, \u015bladach ingerencji Boga. Tak\u0105 drog\u0119 mog\u0142a wytyczy\u0107 praca nad symbolami.
Ale mo\u017cna tak\u017ce dopatrzy\u0107 si\u0119 w tej decyzji element\u00f3w herezji, pr\u00f3by narzucenia czy stworzenia przez artyst\u0119 nowej symboliki. Taki rodzaj \u201eherezji w przestrzeni sakralnej i spo\u0142eczno\u015bciowej\u201d.
Celem cz\u0119\u015bci cyklu Konterfekt, zatytu\u0142owanej Narysuj mi Boga, by\u0142o znalezienie odpowiedzi na pytania, dlaczego poj\u0119cie duchowo\u015bci bywa rozmaicie interpretowane oraz, co jest wsp\u00f3lne dla duchowo\u015bci przedstawicieli r\u00f3\u017cnych wyzna\u0144.
Dlatego o rozmow\u0119 i wykonanie zawartego w tytule polecenia zostali poproszeni wyznawcy w pewnym sensie szczeg\u00f3lni, patrz\u0105cy na kwestie wiary z nietypowej perspektywy: Magdalena Broda, protestancka pastorka, Kazimierz Barczuk, rabin, kt\u00f3ry przeszed\u0142 przez chrze\u015bcija\u0144stwo, ksi\u0105dz Boniecki, katolicki duchowny, ale te\u017c filozof i zaanga\u017cowany publicysta, i Natalia Niemen, piosenkarka zwi\u0105zana z protestanck\u0105 wsp\u00f3lnot\u0105.
Autor podkre\u015bla znaczenie spotka\u0144 z rozm\u00f3wcami. Przyznaje, \u017ce zadanie, jakie przed nimi postawi\u0142, nale\u017ca\u0142o w\u0142a\u015bciwie do niewykonalnych. Zdaje si\u0119, \u017ce dla artysty ciekawsze okaza\u0142y si\u0119 rozmowy, kt\u00f3re mia\u0142y pom\u00f3c zaproszonym w pr\u00f3bie stworzenia wewn\u0119trznego obrazu Boga.
