A few years ago I participated in an artist-in-residence programe at the North Wales School of Art and Design in North Wales. The project I did naturally flowed from contact and work with students.
The main problem of my project \u201cOrder. Who is the schoolmaster? \u201d was to raise the question of how the western culture involves people in the higher education process. How does being inclusive become a measure of educational success?
What aesthetic and intellectual capital will a graduate bring to society?
Students became the main axis of this project – a kind of litmus test that automatically displays the answers to the questions asked.
I asked about education, their plans using visual \u201ctraining\u201d in their future lives, about who they want to be and what they need studies for.
The whole project is narrowed down to two simple questions (in the form of questionnaires) asked people who will shape the visual (not only) aspect of social life in the future.
